I wanted to share some exciting news. I’ve been working with my friend @mwikerd to bring @lifewithababy to the South Okanagan. This chapter will be supporting moms in our community and across Canada. The past couple months have flown by. I’ve been working one on one with clients at Attune clinic on Fridays. My days are full and I’m always honoured that people include me on their healing journeys. I love hearing people’s stories and witnessing people transform by slowing down and listening to their bodies own wisdom. Community Wellness Circle is hosting a free community walk and fundraiser on October 7th at Skaha park. The walk is to bring awareness to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. We also will be raising funds for local resources so parents can access support as needed. I would love to have your support in this cause! 💚There will be a short walk, family yoga, community acupuncture and LOTS of prizes 🎈🤗🤰🏻☀️

A non-profit group of professionals dedicated to supporting postnatal wellness. 🌼 Join Lalita for a 1-hour workshop to learn how to teach yoga to kids, aged 3-5. Whether you are a parent and want to introduce yoga to your family or you are a teacher of many! No yoga teaching experience required. AND then, there will be 1-hour family yoga class with Shauna where the whole family is welcome. Kids and adults alike, come and feel the joy of yoga. When: Sunday, March 19th 1-3PM. Feeling grateful to be apart of the Attune clinic in Penticton. For the past year I have been working with other health practitioners in our community to start a non profit called the Community Wellness Circle. Our focus is to support postpartum clients through services, knowledge and resources. We are hosting a fundraiser at the BE Hive in Penticton on Sunday January 15th. Spring Intuition Group at Starlit Yoga Studio in Penticton.    The Intuition series will start on Monday April 25th from 7 pm to 8:30 pm and will be held every Monday until June 6th.   Printed handouts will be provided for each class.  Every participant will also receive a chakra essential oil candle set made by Heart and Solace.   Each class will focus on one specific chakra and begins with a grounding meditation. Participants learn about development of the chakra in childhood and how it can become unbalanced based on our life experience. As a group, we discuss ways we can heal and connect with the intuition from each chakra. We will have some self-reflection time and an opportunity to practice bringing awareness and connecting with intuition from each chakra through different exercises.   The investment is $210 for the series and is available to a limited number of participants to keep the class size small and intimate. I am a Certified Natural Health Practitioner specializing in one to one Advanced Integrative Energy Healing (AIEH) sessions. I am pleased to announce that I have recently started offering my services to employers with treatments being held in the workplace. This service is for employers who are looking for ways to support their team with stress reduction and self-care. My intent is to make it easier for people to access support for their wellbeing, and provide an opportunity for employers to show understanding and support to their teams. Throughout the pandemic I have listened to stories from friends and family who have struggled with their stress levels and mental health. I have watched as essential workers and service providers are pushed to their limits which has contributed to higher than normal rates of employee stress and burn out. I understand the importance of self-care, especially when you are working in positions where you are putting other people’s needs ahead of your own. While my general practice covers several different areas, my workplace one to one sessions focus primarily on the nervous system. My aim is to help my clients nervous system move out of the sympathetic (fight or flight response) and into the parasympathetic nervous system where rest and healing can take place. Here is a helpful guide so you know what to expect from each AIEH treatment: -When the client arrives we will complete an intake where they will have the opportunity to share parts of their health history. -We will discuss and set the intent for the session. -The client will lay down on a massage table fully clothed and the practitioner will scan their energy field. A treatment will be completed (hands on or off depending on individual preference). -We will debrief your insights and co-created self-care practice. I have some exciting news to share! 😬🙏🥳 I am opening up Tuesday evenings and Sundays for one to one healing sessions. I will be facilitating sessions at The Herbal Alchemist Apothecary in Penticton starting next week. It is such a warm and inviting space to do healing work in 🌿 🌻 One to one sessions are a benefit to most health conditions. They are a co-created healing experience where I gently guide clients to bring awareness into subconscious patterns that are impacting their day to day lives. 🌻 Advanced Integrative Energy Healing is a holistic and empowering therapeutic modality. It focuses on the clients somatic sensations and the practitioners sense of their human energy field as the foundation for treatments. 🌻 Sessions are 100/1 hour or 125/1.5 hour. As always I offer a sliding scale to clients so that my services are accessible to all. 🌻 Next week I have the following availability: Tuesday Oct 5th 5:30 pm to 7 pm and Sunday Oct 10th 9:30 am - 11 am and 11:30 am - 12:30 am. It’s week two of my Women’s Intuition Series for the fall class 🌗🧘🏻‍♀️ 🍁 Each week we do a guided meditation, share information related to the specific chakra and high sense perception, complete self reflection & journaling prompts to expand our self awareness and complete an exercise to help us connect with and develop our own intuition. 🍁 In week two, it’s all about our sacral chakra. Our sacral chakra is located in our lower abdomen about 3 inches below our belly button. This chakra gathers information by sensing emotions of ourselves and others. People who are empathetic gather a lot of their information from this chakra. 🍁 When our sacral chakra is balanced we are in flow with life and are flexible. We feel abundance, connected to our creativity, sexuality and have fulfilled relationships with others. 🍁 When our sacral chakra is out of balance we can be emotionally unstable, have a fear of change, may have sexual dysfunction or depression. Common visible manifestations are of an unbalanced sacral chakra include chronic lower back pain, reproductive issues, urinary tract infections, complications with the kidneys and bladder and dependancy or codependency with other people or substances. 🍁 Healing of our sacral chakra is finding gentle ways you can connect with and feel emotions you are repressing or not acknowledging, exploring healthy ways you can release emotions by incorporating movement (example working out when angry), boundary work and becoming aware of the energy and emotions you are bringing into situation so you know when an emotion is not yours. I love teaching and connecting with others looking to expand their own awareness. We will explore how each chakra senses and processes different information related to high sense perception. Our Chakra System The chakra system originated in India over four thousand years ago. In the 1920’s this philosophical model was brought to the West through the practice of yoga 🧘🏼‍♂️ Today, chakras are a popular concept that link our body and psyche with metaphysical realms 🌈 While chakras do not exist in a physical sense, they are reflected back to us in the shape of our physical bodies, our emotional patterns, our relationship dynamics, our feelings, our thoughts and how we navigate through situations that life presents us. Each chakra represents different aspects of our lives and states of consciousness. As children, if one of our basic rights is not met, this affects the energy of our developing chakra system and can cause us to become unbalanced in certain aspects of our lives. As a practitioner chakras are one of the systems I work with to support clients in bringing balance, alignment and awareness into their physical, spiritual, emotional and mental lives 💜 I also teach group workshops for those who are interested in learning in depth about the chakra system ✨ One of my favorite resources on the chakra system is Anodea Judith’s book Eastern Body Western Mind 📚

Our Nervous System 🧘🏻‍♀️ When we have experienced trauma our nervous system responds to the traumatic event by a fight, flight, freeze or collapse response. When we haven’t processed the traumatic event our nervous system continues to act as if we are still in a place of danger and becomes dysregulated. This can look like being stuck in modes of hypervigilance, anxiety or depression long after the threat is over. AIEH treatments work to gently allow clients a safe space to go from the sympathetic nervous system (flight and fight response) and into their parasympathetic system (rest and digest). When our bodies are in the parasympathetic system we are finally able to feel safe in our bodies💚 Feeling safe in our bodies allows us a chance to connect inwards with our unconscious mind and to our own intuitions, which promotes healing that is unique to each of us 🌻
